About Glowing Turtle Community Acupuncture
Erma Braza, L.Ac., MSAOM
I am frequently asked, why did I call my practice Glowing Turtle? (Besides the fact that every clever name to describe an acupuncture needle, point, qi, healing, etc. was already taken?)
It's a cutesy story, but it's a personal one. My late father, who was a spinal cord injury doctor used to call me little turtle. Because of this, I've always been drawn to turtles. They're such easygoing creatures that embody wisdom, peace and longevity. Why not harness the spirit of the turtle to promote good health?
I do this as a proud member of People's Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA) - committed to making acupuncture accessible, affordable and at the same time, highly effective. Click here to learn more about POCA.
All my life, all I ever wanted to do was help people become the best version of themselves - physically, mentally and spiritually. I started learning about Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2010, and witnessed the beauty of this 5,000 year old medicine on multiple occasions. It's so sophisticated, yet it takes a simplistic approach to balancing the body and restoring good health. What started for me as a fascination with these thin hairline needles and how they can stimulate the body to heal itself, became more of an obligation to serve the community and make affordable healthcare a basic human right. My goal is to not only help you feel better, but also empower you to make better health choices and bring awareness to better living.
